| (Lucky is in his room at Kellys, he opens the door and finds Nikolas standing there) |
| Lucky: "Hey, come on in. Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for the Nurses Ball?" |
| Nikolas: "Yeah, I was just at the Versailles finishing up some last - minute stuff." |
| Lucky: "Yeah? How did you get drafted to be Lucy's assistent for that?" |
| Nikolas: "I'm not sure. Maybe she inherited me from Katherine -- someone else who should be there, but who is gone." |
| Nikolas: "Do you?" |
| Nikolas: "Because you do or because you wanted to hurt her?" |
| Nikolas: "You know, Stefan lied to me all my life. And every time a new one would surface, I decided I hated him." I would promise myself that I wanted nothing to do with him until the next time that I needed him. (Nikolas starts to cry) But see, the one true thing was ,Lucky- was that he loved me. nSo I know that he's dead brcause he would never lie about leaving me. He would never go without saying goodbye." |
| Nikolas: "The way that anyone can see that your parents love you, and not just our mother, your dad, too." |
| Nikolas: "Not a chance.If Luke killed Stefan, I hope that they lock him up for the rest of his life. But I know that he will still love you. We all do.(Lucky smiles a bit) Last year, at the Nurses Ball, I-- I thought that you were dead. You know, I thought about you. I was sitting with Elizabeth. You know, I missed you so much, that I started crying. People probably thought that I was crying about the people with aids, but Elizabeth knew. And I don't-- I don't want to do this tonight. And I know that I will make it, Lucky because I know that you're alive. I just came by to remind myself of that. (he turns to leave) |
| Lucky: "Like Stefan? You still think my dad killed him?" |
| Lucky: "I don't know. I went to see our mother today, and I told her that I believed it. |
| Lucky: "Well, one thing's true -- Stefan did love you, and anybody could see that." |
| Lucky: "No. I'm not out to cause anybody pain. I'm just sick and tired of the way she leads her life -- lying all the time and denying it. Look what she did to you. She dumped you half of your life, and she lied to you the moment she saw you again." |
| Lucky: "You're defending my dad?" |
| Lucky: (smiles)"You heard me. Just don't repeat it to anybody, I'll deny it." |
| Lucky: "Well, any time, big brother." |
| (Nikolas starts to get emotional believing that Stefan is dead.) |
| Nikolas: (stops and turns around) "What did you just call me?" |
| Nikolas: (Smiles and walks back over to Lucky)"It's our little secret, little brother." |
| (Nikolas leaves and Lucky smiles) |
