| This marks the first appearence of Spike and Drusilla. Also, to this date still one of my all time favorite Buffy episodes. Spike and Buffy face off for the first time and he almost beats her, if not for Buffy's mom to show up and hit Spike with an axe. But the scene in the Bronze where Spike sees Buffy for the first time, one will have to wonder if he was attracted to her at that moment. At the end of the episode, Spike throws The Anointed One , or as he calles him "The Annoying One" in a cage where he burns, thus ending the ritual tradition the vampires did up until that point. Spike brought something new to the show, also being the first big bad of the series that you actually like. :-) |
