This was the season that started it all for Buffy.
Before, Buffy and Angel were attracted to eachother, but in season two they fell in love.
Things get stirred up when Angel's long ago pupil, Spike comes to Sunnydale to cure his girlfriend, Drusilla and Buffy learns of Angel's connection to Dru as well, Angel is captured by Spike and Dru for in order for her to be healed, she needs the blood of her sire which is Angel, Buffy comes to Angel's rescue, knocks an organ on Spike and believing he's dead gets her boyfriend back, but Dru has been healed and she takes Spike away to care for him. All season Buffy has been complaining about being the slayer, but she meets Kendra the slayer who was called after Buffy experienced a moment of death by the Master last season, prompting Buffy to realize being the slayer is not a job, it's who she is. A moment of true happiness with Buffy makes Angel lose his soul and turn into the evil Angelus once again. Giles and Jenny have been dating, but it is revealed that she is a gypsy and her clan was responsible for cursing Angel with a soul a hundren years ago, and she was brought here to keep Angel away from Buffy, but in the process she fell in love with Giles, they break up, but when things start to look good once again for the two and Jenny finds a cure to restore Angel's soul, Angelus learns and kills her, leaving her lifeless body for Giles to find, forcing Buffy to realize she'll have to kill him. Xander and Cordelia get together in secret, and a broken hearted Willow finds out, but she is starting to like Oz. Angelus joins Spike and Dru just like old times, but Spike wants Angelus to stay away from his girlfriend Dru, prompting him to team up with Buffy after she learns that Angel has summed Alcatha that will send the world to hell, Kendra is killed by Drusilla, Buffy is found standing over her body in the school library where Principal Snyder finally gets his wish and expells her, Buffy is arrsted and escapes where she is forced to reveal to her mother that she is a vampire slayer. Willow finds Jenny's spell to cure Angel just as Buffy faces off with her beloved, only the blood of the seal's opener will close it nad that is Angel, Willow's spell works just as Buffy is about to kill him, forcing Buffy to kiss her Angel then send him to hell. A broken hearted Buffy who was kicked out of her house by her mother, leaves Sunnydale and her family and friends and her destiny behind. |
